Setting: Contemporary Richmond, Virginia.

Angela Day, a mid-level banking executive is contacted by Jake Lawrence, a mysterious, reclusive billionaire. He wants Angela to assist him in a quiet corporate takeover. In return, he will help Angela gain custody of her son from her ex-husband and his wealthy and influential father. To complicate matters, her wealthy benefactor is under the constant threat of being murdered as is anyone with whom he associates. Frey does a great job of mixing intrigue, murder, family disputes and corporate backstabbing into this light, fast paced novel.
